VIVOS EN CRISTO!

In my 5 years of attending ILCs, this year's Boracay Conference is the best! Not only because it was held in the paradise island of Boracay, but because the talks really hit home.

I've been in SFC since 1997, and truly, my journey with Christ through SFC is the most adventurous. He has revealed to me facets of my life which I never realized made an impact on how I would plot my future--in the house that my Lord has prepared for me in heaven. And during the last ILC, God has reminded me once again by revealing to me areas of my life which I have turned over to Him, and those which still need overhauling. Indeed, life with Christ is quite exciting. It is a life that is dynamic, alive. It is a life that is full of surprises.

And so,as I continue with the journey, I do so with eager anticipation, with expectant faith, with the heart of a child who is gearing up for another surprise from the Heavenly Father. I don't know what He will bring me tomorrow, but I do know that whatever it is, it is something that will draw me nearer to Him.

When I was in fourth grade, I knew what I wanted to be. A journalist. During summer vacation, I remember tearing away pages in my notebook that have been written on and keeping the blank ones. Then I would write stories on the blank pages. I don’t remember what stories I have written, but I do remember showing them to my dad. That was when he said, “ Anak , I think you’re going to be a journalist when you grow up.” In high school, my Tita Mary gave me a sketch pad. Facing vs. Choosing My Fears

It's 5:30am, I'm looking at my bike, thinking, "Should I really take this to Ortigas today?" Us girls! I'm a biker. Not the hardcore bike-to-work kind, but more of a weekend warrior. I've done city cycling, sometimes with a group, most of the time alone. I really want to take my bike to work, but I haven't gathered enough guts to actually do it. Why? I'm scared. Of what? Oh, just the buses, and trucks, and SUVs that bully you (yes, I've been bullied before).

Why I Won't Forget September 26, 2009

Have you ever had one of those days which seemed to start quite ordinarily, only to find out that the day would be a day of surprises? It all started with my phone alarm going off at 6:00 AM on September 26, 2009. It was a Saturday, so why was I up so early? I was supposed to have a bazaar the following day.
